How many acceptable Forced Expiratory Maneuvers should be performed during a Spirometry test?

A Spirometry test will include three Forced Expiratory Maneuvers, also known as Forced Expiratory Volume (FEV) results. A Forced Expiratory Volume is a measurement of how much air a person can exhale during a forced breath. The amount of breath is measured during the first (FEV1), second (FEV2) and third (FEV3) attempts of the forced exhalation. The Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) is the average amount of air exhaled during all three FEV tests.

The minimum end point with respect to each forced exhalation is 6 seconds.
