OSHA established the necessary sound frequency guidelines for conducting a hearing test in an occupational health environment.  All industrial health or occupational health hearing conservation tests gauge hearing at the following thresholds:

  • 500 Hz
  • 1,000 Hz
  • 2,000 Hz
  • 3,000 Hz
  • 4,000 Hz
  • 6,000 Hz
